Maltodextrin is used in very small amounts to support the manufacturing of certain ingredients in our supplements.
Maltodextrin is extracted from a natural source (in this case, non-GMO corn).., and it’s used in the ‘spray dry’ process of our active ingredient Vitamin D3 & Vitamin K2 … to obtain a powder.
This ingredient is an ‘incidental minor excipients’ meaning they are used to facilitate the manufacture of the active ingredient.
We have less control over the use of incidental minor excipients as these are used by the raw materials supplier. That said, they are all approved by the TGA (regulatory body) and safe.
Though, we are always looking to improve our formulations and working towards a future where this is not included in our formulation is definitely part of our priorities.
Being such small quantities… regulation doesn’t required us to disclose these ingredients to customers… but we choose to.
Because we want our customers to make as an informed choice as possible. And so far, we've never come across any brands that disclose this level of details.
