A very small amount of citric acid is used in our vitamin D3 (approximately 0.32% of our supplement)... which is from a natural, rice extract flowing agent to help ingredients flow through the machines & avoid the powder sticking and clumping together during manufacturing.
We source our rice extract from a company called Ribus in the USA, a specialist in clean label, natural ingredients (https://ribus.com/) and can confirm its sourced from natural ingredients and not synthetic.
In saying that though, we are always looking to improve our formulations and working towards a future where this is not included at all is definitely part of our priorities.
Being such small quantities… regulation doesn’t required us to disclose these ingredients to customers… but we choose to.
Because we want our customers to make as an informed choice as possible. And so far, we've never come across any brands that disclose this level of details.
