I’m confused about the amount of magnesium per capsule, is it 90mg or 750mg?

When looking at the label, you always want to look at the 'Elemental Magnesium' amount. This is the actual amount of magnesium in each capsule.

In our case, each capsule provides 90mg of elemental magnesium.

The 750mg you see refers to the total amount of the full compound, magnesium glycinate, which includes:

  • 90mg of elemental magnesium, and
  • 660mg of glycine (an amino acid)

Magnesium is never used in its pure form, as it would be too harsh on digestion. That’s why it’s bound to glycine ... to create a gentle, highly bioavailable form: magnesium glycinate.
