Calcium Hydroxide listed on the ingredients label is an 'incidental minor excipient' which is used as a processing aid for the seed husk powder (in the 'excipients' list). It helps separate the the husk from the seed.
Naturally occurring, calcium hydroxide has been approved by the TGA (Australian regulatory body) & is considered safe.
The amount used in the product is minimal & only represent 0.05%..
Being such small quantities… regulation doesn’t required us to disclose these ingredients to customers… but we choose to.
Because we want our customers to make as an informed choice as possible. And so far, we've never come across any brands that disclose this level of details.
