Is calcium better absorbed at night?

The idea that calcium is better absorbed at night has been floated around, but it’s not strongly backed by research.

Calcium absorption mainly depends on factors like vitamin D levels, if you take it with food or not & how much you take at once ... rather than the time of day.

The reason we suggest taking it with breakfast or lunch is simply to pair it with food, which supports absorption of Calcium & Vitamin K2, and to avoid any potential interference with magnesium if you're taking that in the evening to support sleep.

That said, if you prefer taking your calcium later in the day and it works well for you, that’s totally fine too!
