The recommended dietary intake for zinc is 8mg for women & 11mg for men per day.
If supplementing, we recommend taking between 10 –15mg of zinc per day (as our bodies never absorb 100% of zinc, from food or supplements).
High doses of zinc (above 40mg) can have side effects like nausea, digestive upset, and ... if taken long-term ... may interfere with copper absorption or overall mineral balance.
