L-leucine, which is included as an excipient in some of our supplements, is a naturally occurring amino acid.
It's made by fermenting bacteria to naturally produce L-leucine (just like how Kombucha is made with naturally fermented bacteria).
As the bacteria grow, and once enough l-leucine is made, it's separated out, purified, and dried into a powder.
It uses natural ingredients for fermentation, but is still a 'man-made' process as you don't find l-leucine as a standalone ingredient in nature.
